A dipslide incubator is a critical component of any microbiological monitoring and control programme where a constant, carefully regulated incubation temperature is essential to achieve accurate results. The UK Health & Safety Executives Approved Code of Practice and Guidance (ACoP) L8 document dealing with the control of legionella bacteria in water systems requires weekly monitoring of microbiological activity and this can be achieved using Accepta’s dipslides and incubators.
Accepta’s compact 2 dipslide Incubator has been designed with industry standard heating technology to meet the incubation required for the HSE’s ACoP L8 regarding legionella control monitoring procedures involving the use of dip slides. It is specifically intended for those treatment engineers who have a routine requirement to monitor a single cooling tower.
Accepta’s high performance Incubator 25 is designed for the temperature controlled incubation of between 20 and 25 dipslides at any one time. It has an adjustable temperature range of between ambient and 45°C and is suitable for laboratory, in-field and in-vehicle applications. Accepta’s incubator 25 is manufactured to the highest quality standards and incorporates a transparent shatterproof lid which allows unobstructed observation of the dipslides during the incubation process.
Accepta’s high quality Incubator 8 is specifically designed for the temperature controlled incubation of up to 8 dipslides but is easily capable of accepting several 100mm Petri-dishes. It is suitable for both in-field and in-vehicle applications. The efficient design of Acepta’s Incubator 8 helps minimise power drain on the vehicle battery and the robust ABS case is ideal for a life out in the field.
Accepta’s dip slides/contact slides are supplied in boxes of 10 and come complete with full instructions. A colour chart is also supplied with each box which is used to determine the concentration of aerobic bacteria. The UK Health & Safety Executives Approved Code of Practice (ACoP) L8 and HSG 274 documents dealing with the control of legionella bacteria in water systems the HSE recommends the use of dipslides to monitor the general activity of aerobic bacteria in cooling towers.
Accepta’s NRB tubes and dipslides are manufactured to the highest quality standards and are used to measure the levels of NRB found in treated water systems.
Accepta’s versatile drop tests are ideal for engineers, water treatment professionals; and building services and facilities management specialists involved in water testing applications including potable water, industrial process systems, boilers and cooling systems, swimming pools, and wastewater treatment. Each drop test kit includes full waterproof instructions and reagents necessary to perform between 100 and 200 individual parameter specific tests.
Each self contained kit is housed in its own rugged carry case and comes complete with all necessary equipment such as waterproof instructions, reagents, syringe and test bottle or test cell.
The following list of reagents are for use in various water testing applications including Potable, Process, Industrial Boilers & Cooling Systems, Swimming Pool and Waste Water treatment.
The tablets work with a traffic light, green means soft and red means hard, to find out how soft the water is the sample should be diluted until the water turns red or you reach the dilution level which confirms the water is as soft as required. The provided 10ml vial can measure hardness down to 20ppm. For water softeners we recommend testing down to 1ppm which can be done with a sample of 200ml of water.

Accepta’s professional auto SDI test kit will allow reverse osmosis plant engineers and water treatment professionals to perform quick and accurate in-field testing and analysis procedures for a range of important RO plant parameters.Routine silt density index (SDI) measurement can prevent membrane fouling and improve the efficiency of reverse osmosis (RO) systems. The manual SDI method can be time consuming and on occasion prone to errors.
Accepta’s professional boiler water test kit allows boiler operators, engineers and water treatment professionals to perform quick and accurate in-field boiler water testing and analysis procedures for a range of important system parameters. Boiler water and boiler feed water systems require careful testing and monitoring to ensure the correct water conditions are maintained at all times.
Accepta’s professional chlorination testing kit will allow engineers, plumbers and water treatment professionals to perform quick and accurate in-field testing and analysis procedures for a range of important water system parameters including pH, chlorine HR and chlorine LR.
Water system chlorinations require careful test monitoring to ensure the correct water conditions are achieved during the course of the disinfection procedure.
The Accepta comprehensive Closed System Test Kit for heating and chilled water systems has been developed specifically for engineers and treatment professionals responsible for the maintaining and management of closed water systems. This test kit has been designed to include the key parameters which enable the optimum operating conditions in these water systems.
Accepta’s high performance cooling water test kit for open and closed water systems has been specially developed for engineers, water treatment professionals; and building services and facilities management specialists involved in the maintenance and management of open and closed cooling water systems. It will also be useful for engineers, water treatment professionals; and building services and facilities management specialists involved in the management and control of L8 Legionella risks.
Ideally, ion exchange resins should be carefully examined when the plant is serviced to determine if the ion exchange resin is suffering from fouling or damage which will reduce the plant efficiency. Accepta’s highly portable and easy to use kit allows the qualitative analysis of ion exchange resins for the three main problems encountered when water softeners or ion exchange plant efficiency is reduced.
Accepta’s professional SDI test kit will allow reverse osmosis plant engineers and water treatment professionals to perform quick and accurate in-field testing and analysis procedures for a range of important RO system parameters.Depleting supplies of fresh water, ground water contamination and the rising cost of water have compelled industries to increasingly turn to the desalination of brackish/sea water as well as water recovered from treated industrial effluent.
Accepta’s professional multi-parameter water quality analysis testing kit will allow engineers and water treatment professionals to perform quick and accurate in-field testing and analysis procedures for an extensive range of important water system parameters including conductivity, TDS, pH, alkalinity, bromine, chlorine, hardness, iron, molybdate and more.

Accepta offer two innovative in-field Legionella testing, monitoring and detection systems that are ideal for service engineers, water treatment professionals; and building services and facilities management specialists involved in the management and control of Legionella risks.
Cooling water systems require careful test monitoring to ensure the correct water conditions are maintained at all times. Failure to maintain correct treatment programs can lead to serious problems including reduced efficiency, the build-up of scale, potentially damaging corrosive water conditions and increased microbiological activity, which may include the growth of Legionella bacteria.
The Accepta L8 Legionella monitoring kit includes a thermometer with duel probes for tap temperature monitoring and a surface probe for measuring surface temperature.
Accepta’s rapid Legionella detection test kit uses an immunochromatographic assay to detect within 30 minutes the presence of cell surface antigens from Legionella pneumophila serogroup 1. The presence of the antigen in the water causes the “Test Line” to turn red in colour. It should be used to supplement your existing sampling programme and should not replace routine laboratory analysis.
